Appropriate Action

I finished scoring the fourth episode of the mini-series Dark Frontier: Operation Deliverance yesterday.

There aren't many cues in this episode. I chose to score it fairly light (apart from the first and last cues which are very percussive) because the next episode will be the last, and will probably feature a lot of music.

I used a few of my own samples again in this score for the percussive elements, as it's certainly the most rhythmic music I've wrote for the series.

I also bought more virtual instrument libraries a few weeks back, Native Instruments' True Strike Tension, and East West Quantum Leap's Silk, which were put to good use throughout the score.

This episode has probably been the least challenging to score so far but there was a bit more action and a touching scene to score between two of the main character's which I really enjoyed scoring.
